Lisa is a Gisborne artist who is both prolific and diverse in her approach to art. Many of us who reside in the Tairawhiti have had the opportunity to experience this, whether we own a kete crafted by her skilful hands; have had her immortalise and transform to art the form of our pregnant belly; or have been fortunate enough to receive her kind and patient tuition in harakeke.
Lisa loves mahi raranga, sculpture, painting and tukutuku. She derives her inspiration through the exploration of ancient techniques, patterns and symbols which continue to resonate today; connecting people and cultures throughout time..
