PAM
Gisborne

Sitting around the kitchen table in the late 1990s commiserating that it was too expensive to travel to Auckland or Wellington to catch some great theatre was the catalyst for PAM's humble beginnings; that, and a non-negotiatable prod from kaumatua Keri Kaa, Jan Bolwell and Sunny Amey to organise a showing in Gisborne of their amazing production Sing Whale.
And so it began...Maori drama from Taki Rua Theatre in Wellington interested many people who had never been to see theatre but were interested in their own stories, and since then they have brought classic plays, pianists, the Royal New Zealand Ballet, a harp player, Pacific Island stories, classical guitarists,  women's stories - literally allsorts.
PAM deals with the Gisborne end of almost any theatre or musical production they fancy seeing themselves and which might encourage non-theatre goers to enjoy a night out. Their brief includes production and promotion, including performances for schools.
