Odessa, Tropical Downbeat Orchestra, Twang Grunty play PBC, Saturday 27 October

This Saturday at the PBC promises one of the most exciting lineups to reach these shores in some time...

Local band, Twang Grunty open for the Tropical Downbeat Orchestra from Napier, who had everyone up on Lawn dancing last weekend at the PBC afterparty and will be back again to do the same with their downbeat grooves and upbeat funk.

They are to be followed by OdESSA, a band that can apparently "...make all of New Zealand stand up and dance." They've had their music used for loads of short films, news stories and TV shows, won awards for their videos, won the opening slot of the 2006 Big Day Out ahead of 82 other bands, played the premiere of King Kong in Wellington, and so it goes on. They're magic, do a great live performance and play music that ranges across genres from "powerpop to bluesrock, country folk to the sexiest, sweat-drenched funk jams"

Doors open at 7:30pm, bands start at 9pm. $10 at the door. This will rule, don't miss it.
